14. The Horse and His Boy - C.S. Lewis

The third book in the Chronicles of Narnia series, The Horse and His Boy is a tale of Shasta, a fisherman's son from the land of Calormen. He has always felt that he doesn't fit in and one night he meets a Talking Horse of Narnia named Bree. They decide to run away to "Narnia and the North" to be free. Along the way they run into Aravis and Hwin who join them on their journey. They encounter many obstacles and end up saving Narnia and their neighboring kingdom, Archenland.

This is my favorite book of the series so far. It started out very interesting and I couldn't wait to see what happened to Shasta and Bree. Once they reached the capital of Calormen, it started to get a little slow and I was starting to lose my interest. However, it picked up speed once again and I couldn't wait to see how it ended. Once again Aslan played an important part in the book and I loved it. On to Prince Caspian.

Rating: 4.25/5

Well, you're farther along than I am now! I haven't read anything the past couple of days because I've been worried about Linnea.

I'm glad it gets better!
