I am a huge history buff - HUGE. I love reading about English royalty and so this book sounded really interesting to me. But I had the hardest time trying to get into this book. I found it so redundant and full of useless information. It seemed to me the author was just trying to fit all possible information about each king, most of it being speculation, into this book and it was so unneccesary. I read over 60 pages and it has taken me two weeks to get that far. Granted, things have been a little chaotic here, but I have never taken that long to read any book. It was such a disappointment. For now, I am putting it back on the shelf and maybe some day will try reading it again... but probably not.

Sad days. I'm no expert on books or anything, but sometimes I wonder how books that are so boring get published in the first place.
Ditto on the "Sad days." I haven't read that one yet, and now I'm less inclined to... I'm sure I'll eventually get to it, but it just saddens me that it's a boring history book.
