For our family book club, we chose to read The Chronicles of Narnia by C.S. Lewis. The Magician's Nephew is the first book in the series. It follows the story of two young children, Digory and Polly, who are looking for adventure over summer break. They end up with a little more than they bargained for and watch the birth of Narnia, a magical land. Unfortunately, they also encounter Jadis, Queen of Charn, an evil sorceress who threatens the peace of Narnia.
It was an okay book. It was interesting to read about how Narnia began and finding out how it all started. I enjoyed the movie version of The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe, so it was nice to read about Digory and how he witness the beginning of Narnia and how he is linked to TLTWTW.
