My goal for this year was to read 52 books. I am pleased that I exceeded that. It was a pretty chaotic year for me, so to read 71 books was pretty good.
There were definitely some favorites. Scarlet by A.C. Gaughen was without a doubt one of my favorite books read last year. I also enjoyed Maria V. Snyder's Touch of Power. I look forward to reading more books from that series. I also LOVED Edenbrooke by Julianne Donaldson! Such a fun, clean romance - always enjoyable to read!
Some other series I enjoyed were the Sevenwaters series by Juliet Marillier. I also enjoyed the Starcrossed series by Josephine Angelini and The Infernal Devices series by Cassandra Clare.
Of course there were some duds along the way... a so-so ending to the Hex Hall series by Rachel Hawkins. A disappointing ending to the Nightshade series by Andrea Cremer and the Firelight series by Sophie Jordan. What is it with authors always choosing the wrong guy in a love triangle? So frustrating!
All in all, another good year of reading. Looking forward to what good books I can find this year! I am also hoping to do better about blogging my thoughts on the books I read in 2013. Fingers crossed!

Surprised to see any update on here... but liked, nonetheless.
Woot woot!!
I thought I saw that your book blog had been updated, but thought my eyes were playing tricks on me! ;) I enjoy that you blogged on here!
I think my fave of the year was Edenbrooke. I really liked Scarlet, but it took me awhile to get into it. I really want to read the Infernal Devices series, but am waiting until the third book is out. Should be the last in the series, right?
I agree about the disappointing endings to some series this year. Boo!
